At present, the department has 17 faculty members out of whom 4 have completed Ph.D. programme and 5 have submitted their thesis. The faculty of the department attend National and International Seminars, present papers and publish papers in reputed journals.

Academic year 2016-2017

  • Ms. Asma Parveen (B.Sc. Mathematics SF) was selected to participate in 2016-17 Community college Initiative(CCI) Scholarship program for one academic year to study Information technology at the college of DuPage, Glenn Elynn, Illinois, USA from July 2016-May 2017. She was one among the 25 students selected from India to participate in this exchange program.

  • Ms. M. Subathra of I M.Sc Mathematics did her summer research fellowship programme at the Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore

  • Ms. S.Vinolyn Sylvia of I M.Sc Mathematics did her summer internship at the Ramanujan Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, Chennai.

  • The college conducted a Science exhibition for physically challenged children. The students of the Mathematics made models and presented them to the children.
