The Department of Economics introduced M.Phil. Economics in the academic year 2005-2006.

General Expectations for Dissertation

  1. Visit to Research Institutes and Libraries
  2. Presentations:
  • Review of literature
  • Research Proposal
  • Analysis of Data
  1. Page Limit for Dissertation: 100 to 120 pages
  2. Submission of Dissertation (Four Copies) before 30th April
  3. Viva Voce examination before 31st May
  4. Extension:
  • May be given to those who are not able to submit dissertation on stipulated time.
  • Three months at a time subject to a maximum of two years
  • First Extension Rs.250/- Viva in August if submission is in July
  • Second Extension Rs.500/- Viva in November if submission is in October
  • Third Extension Rs.1000/- Viva in May if submission is after one year
