Under Graduate Courses

B.Com( Aided ) is a three year undergraduate programme which offers the core papers in commerce aiming to equip the students  to acquire knowledge in  General accounting and  business principles. The curriculum of the course is designed in such a way to inculcate thorough knowledge to the students by offering courses like accounting, finance, business management, human resources, statistics, marketing and economics. The course curriculum enables the students to undergo for industrial training in specific fields to make the students industry ready The programme facilitates the students to develop in all dimensions inclusive of curricular and co curricular aspects The department takes enormous efforts to expose the students to acquire awareness and acquaint with the latest trends in the  commerce and business fields. Students can also pursue courses like CA, ACS and ICWA along with B.Com as coaching classes are offered within campus. The course enables the students to pursue for post graduate degrees like, M.B.A and other PG diplomas in business management, entrepreneurial development and human resource.



B.COM with Computer Applications was started in 1994 to meet the needs of students aspiring for a commerce degree with specialisation in computer applications,. The curriculum of this course is designed in such a way that the students can acquire knowledge on Commerce and Computer skills. This course will enable students to opt for jobs which require knowledge of commerce with computer skills.

Highlights of this Programme:

          This course blends core commerce courses with  courses in computer application..Two computer courses are offered  every semester. The curriculum is updated based on the updates in the field on computer and the recommendation of the experts.  Courses such as Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Fundamentals of Information Technology, Communicative Skills in Business, Taxation, Banking Law and Practice, Marketing,  Programming in C, Open Source Office Package, Open Source Operating System, Open Source Web Programming, Digital Designing software, Software Packages for Accounting etc.  Students are required to undergo training in System administration and Networking at the end of Semester IV. The Course provides comprehensive and practical management training to students by way of interaction, projects, presentations, industrial visits, practical training, and lectures by professionals. 

Future Prospects

Graduates of this course can pursue courses such as M.Com with CA, MBA, and MCA and professional courses such as CA, ACS, CMA, ICWA, etc.

For B.Com (CA) graduates career opportunities are available in the field of Computer Software, Finance, Marketing, and Banking. with Banking and Insurance was initiated in the year 2010 to enable students to utilize the burgeoning opportunities in the field of Banking and Insurance.

  • Students will undergo specific courses related to Banking and Insurance such as General Insurance, Portfolio management ,Banking Law, Customer relationship in Banking and Insurance, Credit Management, International Banking, Bank Management and courses such as Business finance, Corporate Accounting, Management Accounting, Statistics  International trade etc.
